QA Engineer / Application Release Manager

Responsibilities:

  • testing of new versions of products, including new and legacy features;
  • accepting app builds before release;
  • checking the quality of bug fixes;
  • checking user feedback data for relevance;
  • monitoring of errors and crash reports;
  • introducing defects into the bug tracker;
  • maintaining test documentation;
  • tracking reviews in stores, on social networks, etc.;
  • informing about product quality during development and at important stages of the project life cycle (new builds, changes in server configs, new external factors like an increase in traffic, etc.);
  • coordinating release schedules with the marketing and development teams;
  • submitting new versions of applications to the App Store and Google Play;
  • creating new versions, filling in all metadata (text and graphics are provided) necessary for the release of a new application (or an update);
  • tracking build status in stores;
  • communicating with moderation teams in stores;
  • tracking changes in policies, rules, and store guidelines;
  • initiating new versions of applications in case of problems with current builds;
  • managing reviews, checking the relevance of incidents, transferring them to development, and responding to reviews.

 

What we expect from you:

  • 1+ year of experience in testing mobile and web applications;
  • an understanding of the architecture and principles of mobile applications;
  • testing experience at all stages of the product life cycle;
  • the ability to work with systems for delivering test assemblies to mobile devices and with processes for publishing assemblies to stores;
  • working with test documentation;
  • an understanding of the basic criteria for usability;
  • written English: intermediate+;
  • independence, sociability, and a systematic approach to work;
  • the ability to evaluate tasks and prioritize.
